Syria: Popular rejection of the US occupation and its SDF proxies is constantly expanding

Hasaka, 17/12/2021.

Supported by the Syrian Arab Army, people of Tal al-Dhahab village in the northern countryside of Hasaka intercepted a US convoy of 5 armored vehicles accompanied by an SDF military vehicle preventing them from crossing the village and forcing them to retreat.

In light of the increasing categorical popular rejection of the occupation forces on the Syrian territories, several towns and villages in Qamishli countryside (Al-Damkhiya, Abu Thwail, Hamo, Al-Busaira, Al-Jerthi, Al-Atshan, and Al-Qusayr) have intercepted military convoys of the US occupation forces in the past days.

On December 14, the Arab tribe"Al-Akidat" in Al-Busaira city, east of Deir Ezzor, have cut the main street at the city entrance by burning tires in protest against the killings and arrests carried out during the past days by the US army and its "SDF" militia in conjunction with the lifting of the curfew and the reopening of shops in the city.

Residents of Al-Jerthi Al-Gharbeia town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor have also cut off the main street with burning tires because the SDF militants stationed on the bank of the Euphrates opened fire on the young man, "Mudhi Al-Kuhaish" a day before, which led to his injury.

On Monday, December 13, residents of Al-Atshan village in Al-Hasakah Governorate, cut off the international road (M4), at the Al-Qamishli-Al-Malikiyah section, in protest against the lack of basic services such as electricity, diesel and others.
Local sources reported that the "Asayish" militia, the security arm of the "SDF" dispersed the gathering.
