A British doctor, one of the supporters and financiers of Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham, was exposed to an assassination attempt in Idlib

A British doctor called "Shagul Islam" Abu Yousef, who is the director of a hospital in #Idlib city and one of the largest financial supporters of "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham" was targeted with an explosive device implanted under his car, where an explosion was heard in Wadi Al-Naseem neighborhood in the city center yesterday afternoon, and fires were set by the explosion of an explosive device planted in a "Santa Fe" car, in the security square of #HTS.
Shagul Islam survived the anonymous assassination attempt, while his driver suffered burns and was taken to the hospital. The explosion coincided with a heavy security presence of HTS in the area.
According to local sources, the attempt was targeting the two #British Shagol Islam and Mohammed Shakiel Shabir, who are known for their close relationship with the leaders of HTS, and take the work in the humanitarian field in northern Syria as a cover to support HTS financially, as the joint coordination between the two parties in bringing humanitarian and financial aid is well known, as well as managing several shops, parks and money exchange offices in the area, but the most important is the close personal relationship between them and the leader of HTS "Abu Muhammad al-#Julani."
Shabir had survived a previous assassination attempt on March 01, 2019 when a suicide bomber entered the "Fusion" restaurant (owned by Shabir ) in the Dabbit neighborhood, in Idlib city and started shooting randomly, then exploded himself where seven civilians were killed and more than 30 civilians, members and foreign leaders of HTS were wounded.
